TTC has been advising on transport - principally air and sea – for over a decade or more. We maintain a database of passenger travel across the Irish sea by aeroplane and ship that is a unique asset to those analysing trends and forecasting route development. The database also extends to all air routes from the island of Ireland.
We provide a unique monthly analysis of routes and travel trends to Ireland including analysis of and comparisons of air fares with other key destinations such as London.
The company provided essential analysis to government following the 9/11 tragedy when air services were affected in many countries.
TTC provides route studies for air and sea and market analyses. We provide services to government and public bodies on benchmarking and performance of routes, airports and destinations.

Rathlin Island Ferry Residents' Pass
Residents of Rathlin have been provided with a Residents Pass which allows discounted travel on the Caledonian Mac Brayne Ferry service form Ballycastle to Rathlin. The scheme is administered by Moyle District Council for the Department of Regional development who fund it. TTC was appointed in 2006 to update the scheme and bring it into line with best practise for such schemes in the UK. The new scheme went live for 1 April 2007.
Jamaica
TTC assisted the Civil Avaiation Authority of Jamaica in its negotiations with the UK over its agreements on routes and access. This ranged from capacity to frequencies to issues concerning Landing rights at London Heathrow LHR. The balance between scheduled and charter services was examined and a mutually agreeable settlement reached.
Cyprus
TTC developed an Air Route Support Scheme for the Cyprus Tourism Organisation that is to be implemented in 2008-2010. The scheme is fully compliant with European Guidelines on such schemes and was approved by the EU in record time. The CTO will establish priority markets for the support available and ensure compliance with the rigourous detail of the scheme. TTC has extensive experience of developing such schemes and is currently working with other clients in this field.
Post 9/11
The aviation industry experienced considerable turmoil after the dreadful events of 9/11 in the USA. The impact was felt worldwide and airlines cut back services as travel plummeted. TTC was commissioned by the Department for Regional Development in Northern and NITB to examine the effects of the changed circumstances and the withdrawal of a number of key routes. This work enabled policy decisions to be taken in a fully informed way.
Lough Foyle Ferry
TTC was commissioned by Donegal County Council and Limavady Borough Council to undertake a marketing and development strategy for the Lough Foyle Ferry. This route from Magilligan to Greencastle has had noted success and the study aimed at building on the success and in identifying solutions to queuing and other business management issues.
