Cornwall

TTC worked with Roger Tym & Partners in 2007 preparing a Destination Audit and examining the implications for the future structures for tourism development & marketing in the County. Tourism is a huge player in the Cornwall economy.

East Kent Cruise Partnership

Again working with Roger Tym & Partners TTC assisted in the preparation of an economic impact study for the Port of Dover - the UK’s second largest cruise port. This follows the work carried out for the Port of Southampton which is now showing dramatic cruise tourism growth. The Dover work will be completed early in 2007.

Scottish Cruise Tourism Study

TTC completed a major review of Scottish Cruise Tourism in 2006 working with Roger Tym & Partners. The review assessed the market positioning of the Scottish cruise industry which is multi faceted and examined the capacity of the industry and constraints. An assessment of economic impact plus a series of action points completed the work.

European Tourism Benchmarking

TTC completed a four country benchmarking task commissioned by OneNorthEast in England and the Saxony Anhalt regional government in Germany . The task is to evaluate tourism structures, delivery mechanisms, marketing and investment in each of four member regions in the touriSME INTERREG 111C RFO Programme. As well as North East England and Saxony Anhalt the TTC team is examining the other two partner regions of Valencia in Spain and Limburg in Holland. TTC is presenting the report to a European Conference in Newcastle upon Tyne in February 2006.

Cumbria Equine Tourism Study

TTC completed this strategy for the growth of equine tourism in Cumbria –one of England 's most well known and attractive tourism regions. The Lake District is best known for its walking product but it has major opportunities in horse holidays particularly in the east of the region. A major conference was organised by TTC for March 2006 at Carlisle Racecourse.
